Le Château Martinon est dans la même famille depuis de très nombreuses générations, servant sa devise : « Tradition et Qualité », ce qui en fait l’un des crus les plus réputés de sa région. Il se situe en plein cœur de l’Entre-Deux-Mers « Haut-Benauge », sur un coteau argilo-calcaire, sur la commune de Gornac. La vigne y est cultivée depuis des temps très anciens car dans l’église de Saint-Pierre-de-Bat, ravissant petit village à 2 km de Gornac, qui date des XIIe, XIIIe et XIVe siècles, on peut voir une sculpture montrant un homme tenant une barrique sur ses genoux, ainsi qu’un autre également, assis en train de boire. Cette appellation fut reconnue à neuf communes de cette région vallonnée en 1923 et en 1925. L’ensemble de ces communes dessine un rectangle parallèle à la Garonne. Elle possède, dans le sens de sa longueur et vers le sud, une ligne de contact très étendue avec la région des Premières Côtes de Bordeaux et de Cadillac. C’est en 1980 que Jérôme Trolliet prend le relais de sa mère, elle-même ayant pris celui de son père des années au paravent, à la tête de l’entreprise, apportant avec lui la note de modernité qui a permis à la propriété familiale de s’épanouir pleinement tant au niveau qualitatif que commercial

Château Martinon has been in the same family for many generations, serving its motto "Tradition and Quality", which makes it one of the most famous winemakers in its region. It is located in the heart of the appellation "Entre-Deux-Mers-Haut-Benauge", on a clay-limestone hill, in the town of Gornac. The vineyard has been cultivated since ancient times because in the church of Saint-Pierre-de-Bat, in a charming little village 2kms from Gornac, which dates from the 12th, 13th and 14th centuries, we can see a sculpture showing a man holding a barrel on his lap, as well as another, sitting drinking. This appellation was recognized among nine communes of this hilly region in 1923and 1925. The whole of these communes draws a rectangle parallel to the Garonne river. It has, in the direction of its length and towards the south, a very extensive line of contact with the regions of Premières-Côtes-de-Bordeauxand Cadillac.
